Larry Carter was born August 5, 1953 in Havre, Montana to Gordon and Ruth (Paulson) Carter. He grew up in Montana and later moved with his family to Clearbrook, MN, where he graduated from high school in 1972. On July 1, 1972 Larry married Jean Salvhus in Bagley, MN. Larry and Jean moved to the Platte/Kimball area in 1987. Larry farmed most of his life. He also worked on the Alaskan Pipeline, did custom combining and operated a pheasant ranch on his farm. Larry was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was baptized in the church in 1994. Larry enjoyed having coffee with his friends and loved to drive through the river hills. Larry Carter passed away, Saturday, November 1, 1997 near Ada, MN due to a vehicle accident. Survivors include his wife, Jean of Kimball, his parents, Gordon and Ruth Carter of Chamberlain, SD; a twin brother, Terry (Molly) of Clearbrook, MN: two sisters, Eleanor Daniel (Craig) of Cortz, CO, and Lisa Kerner (Leon) of Gregory, SD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
