Maynard Emory Anderson was born 15 June 1910 in Boyd Co., NE, and died 03 June 1989 in Orange Co., CA. Buried Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, Orange, CA. (Find A Grave Memorial # 94506888) He married 10 Apr 1942 in California, to Louise Irene Tastad, daughter of George Merrit Tastad and Wilhelmina 'Minnie" Katherine Heintz. Louise was born 31 Mar 1922 near Mitchell, Davison, SD, and died 10 May 2011 in Los Alamitos, Orange, CA. She is buried with her husband in Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Find A Grave Memorial# 96018585) Maynard enlisted in the U.S. Army on 28 Oct 1942 in San Diego, CA. He served during WWII. While in the service, he was stationed in Florida and California. After his discharge, they settled in San Diego, CA until 1952, when they moved to Lakewood, CA. They were members of the Trinity Presbyterian church in Long Beach, which later merged into Community Presbyterian in the 1960s, where they enjoyed singing in the choir, among other activities. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad until his retirement in 1975. Louise worked at Butler Brothers in the Lakewood Center Mall as a sales clerk in the housewares department, beginning in 1955. After they retired, Maynard & Louise enjoyed traveling around the country in their motor home. Maynard and Louise had 2 children:
