Emfred Albin "Fred" Anderson was born 15 August 1905 near Spencer, Boyd Co., NE. He died 05 January 1998 at Blackfoot, Bingham, ID, and is buried in Riverside-Thomas Cemetery, Blackfoot, Bingham, ID. Find A Grave Memorial # 42156610 He married on 11 August 1940, in Witten, Tripp, SD, to Edna Ruth Thomson, daughter of Arthur Elias & Edna Mae (Bannister) Thomson. She was born 26 May 1919, died 12 Mar 2007, buried in Riverside-Thomas Cemetery, Blackfoot, Bingham, ID. (Find A Grave Memorial # 43152764) A week after their marriage, the newlyweds packed up and moved to Idaho, along with Fred's brother, Wilmer. They rented a small rock house near Thomas, ID. Fred made much of his living hunting & trapping in the winter with Wilmer. In 1947, they started a business, Gem State Mink Ranch, which they ran until late in 1961. Fred and Edna were active in the First Baptist Church of Blackfoot, ID. Emfred was living in Moreland, ID, when his brother, Wilmer, died in 1979. They had three children:
