Edythe Elvira Anderson was born 26 July 1896 in Saunders Co., NE.  She died 28 August 1987 in Los Angeles Co., CA.  She is buried with her husband in Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, Los Angeles Co., CA.  (Find A Grave Memorial# 72205484)

She was married on 17 November 1923 in Murdo, Jones Co., SD to Bror David Nyquist. 

He was born 20 December 1889 in  Nygrd, Norra Fjle, Sweden, immigrated to America in 1909, and died 21 September 1966 in Wilmington, Los Angeles, CA. (Find A Grave Memorial# 72205483)   Bror initially earned his living as a carpenter, and is listed in the 1900 US Census, living in Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN.   In 1915, he appears in Gregory County, SD, where he is farming.  Bror listed his occupation on his World War 1 Draft registration card, as a self-employed carpenter.  He was living in Hamill, SD at that time, was single, & still held Swedish citizenship. His card describes him as tall & slender, with gray eyes and dark brown hair.  It was dated 5 Jun 1917.   In 1918, he received his U.S. citizenship.  In 1920, he was a farm hand in Roseland township, Tripp County, SD.

The Nyquists were living in Los Angeles County, CA, at the time of the 1930 & 1940  U.S. Censuses.  Bror's occupation was listed as Boat Builder.

Edythe was living in Long Beach, CA, in 1979, when her brother Wilmer died.

Edythe & Bror had three children:

 

1.  Carl William Nyquist was born 06 Apr 1925 in Los Angeles Co., CA.  He died 01 Apr 2006 in Los Angeles Co., CA.  He married Larissa Fay Spicer (she was born in 1926 and died in 2004), daughter of Clyde Spicer,  They are inurned together in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Columbarium of Peace, Space # 5759. Cypress, Los Angeles, CA, They had one child:

      1.  Eric Nyquist.

 

2.  David Richard Nyquist was born 03 Aug 1926 in Los Angeles Co., CA, and died 16 Aug 2005 in Los Co., CA.  On 06 Aug 1957 in Nevada, he married Ilamae Marian Parker, daughter of Claud E. & Anna K. Parker.  She was born 15 Dec 1913 in Missouri, and died 10 Apr 2001.   She had previously been married to Charles Kausen, and had a son by him.

David and Ilamae are buried together in Lot 7009, Hollywood Hills Memorial Park, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co., CA.

 

3.  Robert Leslie Nyquist, was born 02 February 1929 in California,  and died 24 March 1988 in Calaveras Co., CA.  He married  Jacquelyn Lee Kingsbury.  She is the daughter of  Guy Kingsbury & Mary Washburn

Robert & Jackie had three children:

      1.  David Alan Nyquist

      2.  Kenneth Nyquist

      3.  Leslie Nyquist
